Disparity Bit now at Blogspot

The Disparity Bit has moved from its old address to a new site hosted at Google's Blogspot.

There's no very big difference in terms of features between the two blogging providers, but Blogger.com has a cleaner, more pleasant interface. Since I'm resuming blogging after a silence of many months, I figured I might as well start a new blog. Well, it's not as if I had any loyal readers to lose.

In other news, I've acquired a Datahand, so I can type again, although not nearly as quickly and conveniently as I used to. Let me tell you, hanging somewhere around 0.3 CPS as I learned to use a completely new input device was one of the worst experiences of my life. It felt like I'd had a stroke - it took me a minute to put a sentence together and by the time I got to the end I'd forgotten the beginning. I wanted to scream, and it took thirty seconds to write aaaargh!!!. Now I'm mostly over it, and I can type on the datahand well enough to get about (slowly), but it's a lesson I'll never forget: my speed of thought is limited by my speed of typing. If you sever my metacortex, I won't be smart enough to fix it.

I also gained an interest in exotic human-machine user interfaces. Of which more anon.
